HTC Headphone mic issues – Headphone mic stays on – Headphones icon permanent onscreen
You might be having issues with your HTC or smart phone where you must be getting all the phone call getting converted into headphone state where you can not talk without mic and headphone icon stay on the home screen. I found lots of user has been facing this issues recently including me. I found lots of fixes over the internet but only two of them has worked which I have mentioned in the below of this log.
I did hard reset, reboot and took out the battery off and then inserted but nothing has helped me out. I also did the factory data reset but nothing helped. However I am sharing solution below which has worked for me.

Solution 2: toggleheadset2
Install toggleheadset2 from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dwalkes.android.toggleheadset2 and setup as below;
This is an open source project originally intended for use with the now legacy Android 1.6 (donut) release and 3.5mm headphone jack HTC multi adapters on the G1 due to android issue 2534. It was originally based on an abandoned project at code.google.com called toggleheadset.
Since initial release, lots of people have downloaded and used this application to fix hardware problems with their phones – specifically cases where the headphones connector detection doesn’t work and your audio doesn’t automatically switch to the correct output automatically. This has been a surprisingly common occurrence.
To install you need to place on your homescreen to use it by holding your finger down on the homescreen, selecting widgets and selecting togglheadset2.
Install and Use
This Part describes how to install/use this widget. This widget is meant to specifically address the problems with the 3.5mm audio jack on audio adapters (specifically the HTC 5 in 1 adapter,) the G1 and the donut release. It hopefully won’t be necessary and probably won’t work after the next release.
