The difference between IB and AP
Here are the main differences between IB and AP:
1. Availability. AP classes are available in more than 22,000 schools in the United States, but can also be found internationally.
2. AP offers 38 classes for specific subjects designed for individual study. IB offers 56 classes (HL and SL count separately), which are generally broader and require a holistic approach.
3. AP classes culminate in end-of-year exams. During IB classes, students prepare teacher assessments of classwork, lab work, fieldwork, and oral work, and take final exams at the end of the year.
