How to Generate Personal access tokens in Github

To generate a personal access token in GitHub:

  1. Go to the settings page of your GitHub account.
  2. Select “Developer settings” from the menu on the left.
  3. Select “Personal access tokens” from the submenu.
  4. Click the “Generate new token” button.
  5. Give your token a descriptive name and select the scope of access you want the token to have.
  6. Click the “Generate token” button.
  7. Make sure to save the token somewhere safe, as it will not be shown again after you leave the page.
