What is GitOps?
GitOps is a modern operational framework that applies Git-based workflows to manage and deploy infrastructure and applications. It leverages Git as the single source of truth for declarative infrastructure and application configurations, enabling teams to use Git repositories to define and manage their operational processes. With GitOps, changes to infrastructure or application settings are made through Git commits, which then trigger automated deployment pipelines to apply those changes. This approach enhances visibility, version control, and auditability of infrastructure changes, as every modification is tracked in Git. By automating deployment and operations through Git, GitOps aims to improve consistency, reduce manual errors, and streamline the management of complex systems, making it easier to achieve continuous delivery and maintain operational stability.
